That’s why we only use solid cast aluminium - never thin castings, hollow arms, or tubular legs like many mass-produced alternatives.
When fittings are required, we insist on using only the highest quality solid stainless steel (Grade 316), renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance and strength. Unlike many other manufacturers - especially those producing furniture in China, where lower-quality materials are often used - we maintain complete control over the production process. Every piece of our furniture is crafted in our UK factory, ensuring superior quality and durability from start to finish.
In addition to casting our own aluminium, we also powder coat our furniture in-house, providing a flawless, weather-resistant finish that protects against rust and fading. At Jardine Garden Furniture, we use high-precision die casting to ensure that every piece of furniture we manufacture is consistent, durable, and perfectly formed. This method guarantees that each cast component is identical to the last, meaning seamless assembly and a flawless, uniform appearance across our entire range.
The process begins with a high-quality mould, made in two halves. One side remains stationary on a rig, while the other moves back and forth, powered by gas or electricity. Once securely shut, molten aluminium is poured into the runners at the top of the mould, filling the cavity within and forming the cast part. This ensures that every chair, table, or bench we create maintains the same strength, structural integrity, and classic design.
After the casting has cooled, each component is carefully removed from the mould, fettled, and cleaned to remove any imperfections. Our expert craftsmen then weld the parts together in our dedicated welding shop, ensuring every joint is strong and built to last.
To further enhance durability, we take extra steps that many manufacturers skip. Each piece undergoes a de-oxidising process before being powder coated in-house. This provides a tough, weather-resistant finish that protects against corrosion, fading, and wear - essential for outdoor furniture that stands up to the elements year after year. The powder coating is then baked in an oven to create a long-lasting, hard-wearing surface.
